I lean against the wall,Which I felt secure and comfort from.
When I had no one to turn to,
It will always be there for me .
Staying with me.
Secretly watching the children plays,
But neither did they spare me a glance
nor approaching me.
They keep a distance from me.
I longed to play,
But have no courage to.
They strike fear in my heart.
Their happiness,
Clearly shown on their faces.
My happiness,
ceased long ago.
Oh why did they simply just ignore me?
I was tinged with deep sadness,
But slowly keeping my feelings to myself.
The pain of being lonely,
Who will understand?
It was heartbreaking ,
To see the wall with one last glance.
I had moved away.
Did they ever miss the presence of me?
Or would they even notice that I am gone?

1a) what are your impressions of the boy, as well as of the children in the poem? Support your answer with relevant lines from the poem.
The children
My impression of the children is that they are having fun and doing well with their peers. “The playground’s quick with life, the beat is strong.” In the second stanza suggests that the playground is filled with children’s laughter. They were all lively and energetic. There is a stark contrast between the loner and the children. They ignored the loner completely. They might be fearful that the boy would ignore and refuse to accept being in their cliques, they might also not ask the boy to join in as they felt that he should be the first to ask and they consider lost when they make friends with him first. “ We pass him by and never speaks” suggested that the children had no means and hesitation of making friends with the boy. Therefore, they are being ignorance and selfish for not wanting the boy to be in the clique to share the happiness together.

Do u sympathize with The Joker?( TEAQ)Yes, I do sympathize with the Joker. He is very pitiful though he killed the accomplices. He is not a complete bad guy as certain things or actions he did tells me that he is not what everyone says a “ bad guy “.
The Joker was formerly a Laboratory assistant who was resigned from his job to become a comedian, only to fail miserably. He was desperate to support his pregnant wife. Therefore, he agrees to guide two criminals to break into the plant. Unfortunately, the police informed him during the plan that his wife and unborn child were killed. Overcoming emotionally, he wanted to back up the crime but could not as he is breaking his promise.
While they were carrying out the crime, Batman appeared. The Joker was utterly shocked. Panicking, he jumps into the chemical plant’s toxic waste vat and is swept through a pipe leading to the outside. He looked at his reflection, with chalk-white skin face, ruby-red lips and green hair. He was disfigured.
He could not overcome his fate and the truth that he has lost his family therefore that turned into a thief and started committing crimes. Hatred filled him as he hated the Batman for his loss of family and his disfigured face. If he had a choice, he certainly would not become like that. Therefore, he hated those who treat him badly, but he had his reasons for hating them.
What have you learnt from this lesson?
I have learnt that people are not judged based on their looks. Everyone is not perfect as they all have flaws. A bad person might not be good as is intentions is not good but he would still cares for those who is not involved and we should not see people in one perspectives, but in a few. We must have several views and must not have concluded the situation unless we have understood it.
